EDIT: finally added John to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the show!
whoops here I go, time to invest way too much love into the CGI remake of a 1960s marionette show
So I watched the TAG pilot episode launch last weekend with my dad, who grew up with the original show the first time it aired, as did I the multiple times it was repeated on ITV throughout my childhood. Mainly because of my dad I'm a huge fan of all the Gerry Anderson shows - our particular favourite was Captain Scarlet, which I distinctly remember watching on a Sunday afternoon before dinner. I was a bit apprehensive when I heard they were making a 'Birds remake for the 50th anniversary, especially after that disaster of a live action film back in 2004, but after the pilot episode I was fully converted and I am 100% stoked to watch the rest of the series. Yes, some of the human animation is a little bit clunky, but I love the new costume redesigns and the new characters they've introduced, and they've done a great job of modernising the whole thing without completely destroying the spirit of the old show. Ever so slightly lost my shit when Three came out of the pool. That's all I wanted and they did it perfectly QuQand they kept the lemon squeezer in One's launch bay I'm so happy
I love these brothers so so much, really looking forward to seeing a modern interpretation of all their individual relationships. Virgil has always been my fave since I was little but I feel like 2015!Gordon is going to be a new favourite too.
All of these are available for sale, please just pop me a message if you're interested or check them out here: www.etsy.com/shop/JammyScribbl…
