Hand-drawn fanart of my fvourite Gainax girl for my boyfriend's birthday! I introduced him to Gurren Lagann over a year ago now and he loves it, and Yoko's one of his favourite characters. I had a Yoko ACEO for sale for ages, and I promised him that if it didn't sell at the next con he could have it - sadly she went to a new home last weekend so he missed out but I decided to make him a new one from scratch C: I'm getting a lot more comfortable with my traditional inking skills so this was a lot of fun to do, if not time consuming.
I do love Yoko as a character, and begrudgingly I love her design as well; it's completely ridiculous and impractical in so many ways and for that I hate it but as a piece of design it just all fits together so well and it's great fun to draw. Lots of fun to colour all the hair too <3

As for personality she's a very mature and well done Young Woman, Something I like.
Her choice of Clothing does state otherwise though, but I never base my favorites on looks alone.
I tend to prefer Ideal Mother/More Mature female characters like Yoko here(Or Jeena From Disney version of Spectrobes), or Ideal Lil' Sis Characters, Kinda like Madoka from PMMM, though of the two, I'm more likely to like the ones like Yoko/Jeena, voice of reason, caution, etc.
